CISCO Networking

The CISCO Networking certificate program at Virginia Peninsula Community College equips students with the knowledge to design, implement, and manage secure networks in today’s digital landscape. Through a combination of instruction and hands-on experiences, participants will gain an understanding of how to configure routers and switches. VPCC students in this program will also learn to troubleshoot common network issues and become familiar with advanced networking concepts.

Those who earn the CISCO Networking certificate will be well-prepared to pursue additional industry-recognized certifications and excel in various IT roles, contributing to the ever-evolving field of network technology. Students who successfully complete this program will be ready for entry level network technician or customer support specialist positions.

Admission Requirements: Students must have successfully completed ITE 120 or obtain departmental approval prior to entry into this program. The program itself consists of three classes, amounting to 12 credits, consisting of the following classes:
