Electrical Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science

Our Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology degree was created to address the rapid growth in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering and communications. In the recent years, steady demand has grown for qualified technicians and an ongoing need for trained personnel to meet this demand. The knowledge and skills acquired by graduates in this program provide many pathways for entry-level positions as well as continuing education.

Our Electrical Engineering Technology degree designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce. However, credits earned in this program may transfer into a four-year university as well. Students interested in pursuing transfer options should make an appointment with an Academic Advisor early in their educational careers. Some of the common transfer destinations include ODU, who offer their BS Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology (ODU Articulation) 2021-2024 program.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, electrical and electronic engineering technologists and technicians held about 99,600 jobs in 2023, with a median annual wage of $72,800.
