Foundations of Electrical Engineering Technology

Our Foundations of Electrical Engineering Technology Career Studies Certificate focuses on critical problem-solving skills, theory and components to provide students with an understanding for controlling the flow of electrical currents for the purpose of information processing and system control. The certificate integrates components, devices and design, complexities, and differing operations. Students will receive the foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the industry.

Students in the program will be exposed to a variety of classes in our Electronics course catalog, including ETR 113 – D.C. and A.C. Fundamentals I, ETR 107 – Programming Applications for ELE/ETR Calculations, and ETR 279 – Digital Principles, Terminology and Applications.

Students will need to complete 17 credit hours worth of classes to complete the program and earn the career studies certificate.
