Photography

Our Photography certificate focuses on critical problem-solving skills, aesthetics, and history to provide students with an understanding of the impact of visual communication. The certificate integrates studio and digital photography, photographic history, design, typography, and marketing. Students will receive the foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the industry.

Students in the program will take a variety of photography classes, including PHT 221 – Studio Lighting I, PHT 270 – Digital Imaging I , PHT 226 – Commercial Photography, and more. Those in the program will need to complete 28 credit hours in order to earn the certificate, and will also be exposed to drone photography as well.
