The Help Desk provides front-line technical support to all students, faculty and staff at Virginia Peninsula Community College. We are advocates committed to resolving the technology issues affecting students and employees and providing detailed resolutions and general systems information.
The Help Desk is operated by the VPCC Information Technology department, who are committed to providing effective high quality IT products and services to enhance the success of our students.

- Java Virtual Machine: Needed to use the Virtual Classroom Feature
- myVCCS Support: myVPCC provides single-login access to Canvas, SIS, Gmail, Library Services, and other services.
- myVPCC Down? If myVPCC is unavailable, try the direct links to Canvas (and login with your myVPCC username and password); same for direct access to student Gmail (login with your myVPCC username and password).
- Office of Accessibility – Offering many technology resources for students with special requirements.

- Technology Services in the Library: Library staff members are available to keep library technology running smoothly and to help students, faculty, and staff with use of library equipment.
- VCCS Student Resources: Visit the VCCS’s student site to download Microsoft Office, the Respondus Lockdown Browser, and for discounts on Apple products (for faculty, students and staff)
Campus WiFi
Students and guests have three options to use the Internet here at VPCC:
- myVCCS network – Sign in using your VCCS credentials (ex: JED123) and password. Available to all VCCS Students and Employees.
- Eduroam – Sign in using your VCCS email (ex: JED123@email.vccs.edu) and password. Available to all participating Eduroam institutions (great for summer students or for visitors from other Eduroam institutions). You can use Eduroam at other participating institutions as well.
- Gator Guest network – Sign in by selecting your authentication method. Enter your name and email or phone number, accept the terms of service, then press “send access code” which will be sent to your email or phone. Enter the code and you can log into the network. Available to the public.
