Located in the Toano section of James City County, the Trades Center offers short-term training to meet the expanding need for skilled workers in construction and building trades. Training at the VPCC Trades Center replicates actual worksites of welding, CNC machining, carpentry, and masonry technicians. We are committed to providing rigorous and relevant career and technical education in a dynamic learning environment that results in students reaching their highest potential.
Students get hands-on practice in a real shop setting, learning specific skills. The programs provide students with the knowledge for entry-level employment as a welder, carpenter, machinist, facilities maintenance, or brick and block mason.
