High School students in a VPCC classroom.

Transition from High School

Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Dual Enrollment program provides high school students with an incredible opportunity to jump-start their college education. Designed for juniors and seniors, this program allows students to earn college credits while fulfilling high school graduation requirements — all from the convenience of their own high school classrooms.

Now, if a student wants to continue their education with VPCC after starting as a Dual Enrollment student, they need to follow these steps:

STEP 1

Take the VPCC Enrollment Survey to update your student info
You will use your myVPCC username and password and list your GPA and highest math taken. Do not select “none of these.”

STEP 2

Identify a Program of Study/ major
All VPCC degrees and certificate programs are found in the VPCC College Catalog. Choose the catalog year then “Degrees and Programs.” Email us should you have questions.

STEP 3

Fill out the Program Plan Declaration Form with your new Program of Study/major
Send the completed, signed form to your Dual Enrollment Coordinator’s email listed on the form.

STEP 5

STEP 6

Fill out the FAFSA for Financial Aid for the upcoming school year
We offer scholarships — complete the VPCC scholarship application.

STEP 7

Make an appointment with your Academic Advisor using Navigate
Login to myVPCC and select the Navigate tile then Appointments. Make an appointment with Office of Accessibility if you need any accommodations for your classes.

STEP 8

Register for Fall classes using Navigate
Use the Academic Calendar to see the Fall registration dates. Pay for your classes or have Financial Aid set up by deadline.
