Whether a first-time student or returning to continue your education, our orientation sessions provide essential information about campus resources, academic programs, student support services, and more.
These events are your opportunity to connect with the VPCC community, get your questions answered, and prepare for an enriching college experience. Explore the details below to begin your path to success with confidence.
Our New Student Orientation is a program for all credit students, including part-time, Early College, and transfer students.
Tasks you can complete while preparing for orientation:
- Register for classes by completing the college application and registering on myVPCC
- Complete the FAFSA to apply for Financial Aid.
- Check your “To Do” list through the myVPCC portal for requests and news from Financial Aid
- After registration, check your VCCS e-mail account regularly. This is how the College will send communications.
- Make a plan for payment (if needed)
- Apply for VPCC Foundation Scholarships
- Set up an appointment with your advisor (not required, but recommended)
- Using VA benefits? Get in touch with Military and Veterans Services.
- Transferring in credit? Make sure you’ve taken steps to let us know.
