David is retired Navy and assists with all educational needs. David is from Willimantic, Connecticut. Prior to coming to Virginia Peninsula Community College, David worked as an academic adviser at South Mountain Community College (Phoenix), and as an academic counselor at the University of Phoenix. David served 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a musician, playing clarinet and saxophone. Stationed in Guam, Italy, Florida, Virginia, and Washington, David traveled the world representing the Navy and promoting good will. Before entering higher education, David worked in a variety of jobs, including audio engineer, substitute teacher, and assistant front-end manager for Fry’s Food & Drug (a subsidiary of Kroger). David earned a bachelor’s of science in business from the University of Phoenix. He has completed certification from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in life coaching and advance life coaching. He has worked as an academic adviser for the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and ABHS (Arts, Business, Humanities and Social Sciences) divisions at the Historic Triangle and Hampton campuses for Virginia Peninsula Community College.
