Spread the Word: Applications Open for Dominion Fellows Program
If you know second year students who are military-connected (veterans, spouses included), share news about the Dominion Fellows Program, a funding opportunity to help such students attend a Virginia community college full-time to pursue their academic goals and strengthen their leadership skills.
Available through the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education (VFCCE), the fellowship is open now with online applications at vccsscholarships.awards. The deadline to apply is June 30.
This Fellows program provides full tuition, book expenses, fees and opportunities to participate in a unique curriculum of intellectual and cultural activities. A cornerstone of the program is a commitment to community engagement.
Qualifications
- Applicant must not have participated in any of the VFCCE Fellows programs.
- Applicant must be enrolled for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.
- Applicant must attend one of Virginia's Community Colleges
- Applicant must have received their high school diploma.
- Veteran or Active Duty Dependent
- Applicant must demonstrate a commitment to transfer to a Virginia public or private college or university.
- Applicant must have a 3.2 or higher GPA
- Applicant must have completed 30 or more credit hours by May 2020.
- Applicant must qualify for instate tuition.
