'Tutoring Alert' Can Help Students Succeed
Student success is Thomas Nelson's business. And, there are many tools at the faculty's disposal to help them prosper. Did you know you can issue a Tutoring Alert in Navigate for a student?
While the In Danger of Failing Alert includes a broad range of academic difficulties that students encounter, the Tutoring Alert is an alternative. This alert should be issued when there is concern about a student's progress and you believe tutoring will be beneficial, according to Eve Walker, the College's Tutor Zone coordinator.
Thomas Nelson and Brainfuse tutors are available online to assist students across a range of courses throughout each week. Walker says continued support in referring students to the Tutor Zone is greatly appreciated.
Peer tutors are ready to assist in biology, chemistry, IT, foreign languages and more. Help in math and writing is also available.
Students can schedule an online session by signing in to MyTNCC and clicking the Brainfuse icon. They must select the subject area and course under Tutor Match, then choose a tutor and time slot. When it's time for the appointment, they enter the session by going to "My Calendar" in Brainfuse.
Here is a short video on how to make an appointment: Making an Online Tutoring Appointment at Thomas Nelson Using Brainfuse Tutor Match.
