HR Announces New 'SafeColleges' Online Training
The safety of students, faculty and staff is of the utmost importance. As such, Human Resources is pleased to offer the "SafeColleges" Online Training System for College personnel.
"SafeColleges" by Vector Solutions offers relevant, informative and helpful courses toward maintaining a safe teaching and learning environment. Slated to become available Sept. 2, courses in the "SafeColleges" System will complement those already offered through the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center, VCCS and the College.
Course topics include:

- Employment Practices
- Environmental Safety
- Health
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Nutrition Services
- Security
- Social and Behavioral
- Transportation
An email will be forthcoming from Thomas Nelson Community College with the email domain administrator@safecolleges.com and the subject line SafeColleges Online Training, said Donna Norman, a Human Resources consultant at the College. She said the email is legitimate and will provide additional information about mandatory and suggested training. She pointed out that this training does not replace the already required compliance training.
