Gator Great Award Winners Announced
Five Thomas Nelson staff members were honored Sept. 28 with a Gator Great Customer Service award. The annual award acknowledges those who consistently provide excellent customer service to students, community members and their colleagues.
Nominated by peers, the winners were Erica Charity (administrative assistant in president's office); Keisha Matthews (education support specialist in STEM department); Herzog and Elizabeth "Liz" Rizzatto (Learning Resources trainers and instructors); and Damond Pope (Information Technology specialist).
Announced via a Zoom meeting (click here for video), the awards are presented to those who consistently display "proactive problem solving," provide "consistent and quality customer service," and demonstrate "active listening." Other criteria include "courteous and professional," "accurate and timely provider of information," and "initiative to anticipate customer service needs."
In addition to the Gator-Great Award, winners receive a $100 gift card, a "Gator-weight" for their desks, and their names will be engraved on a plaque of Gator Greats displayed in Griffin Hall's Gators Café.
Those eligible for the award are full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and classified staff (full and part-time), middle managers and administrators.
More awards will be announced in the coming weeks; those for the outstanding College employee, and the state service awards.
