Holiday Drive-Thru a Hit
This year's holiday party for Thomas Nelson faculty and staff was not a large gathering as in years past, but it was just as successful. About 70 cars participated in Saturday's drive-thru Holiday Jamboree on the Hampton campus, and more than 200 meals were passed out.
Alicia Riley, the College's special events manager, said those numbers are similar to what usually is an in-person celebration.
A professional company decorated the route with an inflatable snow globe, replicas of monuments from across the globe, including the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Statue of Liberty. There even was artificial snow, and visitors were greeting by holiday music.
Santa Claus made an appearance, as did Thomas Nelson's incoming president, Dr. Towuanna Porter Brannon.
The food was provided by Lickin Lipps catering from Williamsburg.
