Officials Advise Report Suspicious Activity
College safety officials remind students, faculty and staff that vigilance is crucial to maintaining a healthy safe environment for learning, teaching and working. Everyone is responsible for public safety and security. To that end, officials advise, "if you see something, say something."
Please report any suspicious activity you witness as well as suspicious emails or other messaging you receive to Thomas Nelson Police using the 5Ws -
- Who did you see?
- What did you see?
- When did you see it?
- Where it occurred?
- Why is it suspicious?
If there is an emergency, reach Campus Police by dialing 9-1-1 from a campus phone or (757) 825-3511 from your cell phone. Please note cell phone calls to 911 go to the 911 center nearest your location instead of the College's police department.
Reach Campus Police for non-emergencies at (757) 825-2732.
Visit our emergency preparedness webpage for details on what is deemed suspicious activity. You can also get more information about other campus safety matters.
The Thomas Nelson Police Department, Emergency Management Preparedness team and the Fire & EMS Education Department thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campuses safe.
