Celebrations Abound in April and May
The College's slate of celebratory events ends with graduation on May 13.
The College has numerous celebratory events line up for students, faculty and staff in April and May. Collectively called "Programs, Ceremonies and Celebrations," the events begin April 5, when commencement regalia goes on sale. The series wraps up May 13 with virtual graduation in the morning and a drive-thru celebration later in the day.
"There are a lot of traditional events that we weren't able to do last year that we are picking back up," said Alicia Riley, the College's special events manager. "Plus, there are some new ones."
The annual Family Fun Day has been modified. With pandemic restrictions still in place and the success of the holiday drive-thru celebration last semester, there will be a Family Dinner Pick-up on April 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hampton campus. Families will have to pre-register to order their dinners.
Other events are an induction ceremony for Phi Theta Kappa (a national honor society), a college reveal day, TRiO celebration, and the nurse pinning.
