Want to showcase your original poems, short stories or essays? The Social Justice and Societal Change Committee invites you to submit original written work inspired by the theme of social justice. Difficult events and circumstances often inspire contemplation and result in meaningful art.

Entries will be accepted today through April 10 giving you a chance to win an award. To submit your entry, use this link. Winners will be announced the final week in April.

Poems, short stories, essays and etc. should be less than 800 words. Essays and short stories should follow Modern Language Association (MLA) formatting, including any citations.

Your participation in this contest gives the Social Justice and Societal Change Committee permission to share your work, with acknowledgment, with the broader college community.

Prize winners will be notified via vccs.edu Gmail email addresses on or before April 30. Winners have until May 15 to submit paperwork to claim a prize.
