Virginia Space Grant Consortium Scholarship Open to STEM Students

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is accepting applications for its Community College STEM Scholarship Program. The program provides $2,000 scholarships for students enrolled in a Virginia community college STEM program. Students must apply for the scholarship during the freshman year and use the scholarship during the sophomore year.

To qualify, the applicant must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be currently enrolled in a Virginia community college and have completed at least one semester of coursework (minimum of nine credit hours) at time of application (spring 2022)
  • Be enrolled full time (12 credit hours or more) during the award period
    (2022-2023)
  • Be majoring in a STEM program of study
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Expect to graduate by May 2023 or later
