Applications Open for the George B. Vaughan Leadership Award for Outstanding Adjunct Faculty

The VCCS Student Success Center, in collaboration with the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education, is pleased to offer the only system-wide award specifically for adjunct faculty members.

The George B. Vaughan Leadership Award for Outstanding Adjunct Faculty serves as a legacy of Dr. Vaughan's achievements and as an inspiration for VCCS faculty. The award recognizes one outstanding VCCS adjunct faculty member from each region, for a total of up to five awards to be bestowed per year. Each Vaughan Award recipient receives an honorarium paid before the end of the spring semester.

Applicants are encouraged to refer to the Vaughan Leadership Award detailed information to learn more about the award eligibility, criteria, selection and announcement. *Note: Among application requirements is a letter of recommendation from your college president.*

The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. Be sure to check with your college to make sure you are complying with any internal deadlines or processes.
