Early Registration for College's Inaugural Community Day 5K Open
Virginia Peninsula Community College is gearing up for its inaugural Community Day 5K. Open to elite runners and casual walkers alike, the family-friendly event is set for Saturday, Oct. 1.
The community is invited to join students, faculty, staff, and alumni in enjoying this healthy fun event at Hampton's Matteson Trail located at 320 Butler Farm Rd.
Those interested can get ahead of competitors now with early bird registration which lasts through Sept. 3. To secure a spot at a discount and get more details, click here. General registration at $35 per person begins Sept. 4.
Commemorative t-shirts and medals will go to all participants.
Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are also available allowing businesses and organizations to connect with a broad audience that represents the Peninsula's diverse communities.

The event's proceeds will benefit Virginia Peninsula Community College students through the Educational Foundation. The Foundation facilitates financial resources to support scholarships, faculty development, student emergency funding, technology upgrades and more.
