Associate of Science - Specialization in Education

Associate of Science in Education

The Associate of Science in Education at Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year program that helps students get ready for jobs in education. Our program prepares students for work in Elementary Education (PreK–6) or in Special Education. Students will learn the basic skills they need to become preschool teachers, aides, or paraeducators.

This program also helps students prepare to transfer to a four-year college to earn a bachelor’s degree and become licensed teachers.
