The Computer Aided Drafting and Design Technology Career Studies Certificate is a general CADD certificate program that utilizes a variety of CAD Software packages to create, modify, analyze or optimize design drawings for fields directly related to engineering and design, manufacturing, machining, aerospace, shipbuilding, and many other specialized fields.
CAD designers and operators work with a team of engineers and designers documenting detailed designs for a variety of small and large projects. This Career Studies Certificate focuses more on mechanical applications.
This certificate focuses on mechanical applications; students who want to specialize in other CADD areas should consider enrolling in Ship Drafting and Design CSC, Architectural Technology CSC, or Virtual Machining and Design CSC.
