Industry 4.0 Certificate

The Industry 4.0 certificate offered at Virginia Peninsula Community College prepares students for what is known as “advanced manufacturing position.” Those are jobs which require highly skilled problem-solvers with experience in high-tech design engineering.

Positions for people with critical thinking skills and specialized training are in high demand across many industries, as there is a current lack of qualified employees. Our program aims to solve that problem. Students with the knowledge offered in this program could fill roles in the following areas:

  • Electrical Technician Assistant
  • Junior Electronics Technician
  • Automation Technician Assistant
  • Entry-Level Process Control Technician
  • Production Support Specialist
  • Mechatronics Assistant

MECHATRONICS

  By enrolling, students will learn about Mechatronics, which is a multidisciplinary field involving the advanced automated manufacturing industry.

The Industry 4.0 certificate prepares students for these positions by offering them the opportunity to earn FI4.0CP Industry Certifications. To have the opportunity to earn these Certifications, students will complete illustrative labs and assignments provided by FI4.0CP certified instructors.
