This program focuses on Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the leading cloud platforms used by businesses worldwide. AWS is a global cloud computing platform that provides scalable, on-demand computing resources, storage, and networking services to businesses, governments, and individuals. It operates through a vast network of data centers strategically located across the world, known as AWS Regions, ensuring high availability and reliability. AWS achieves its massive scale by leveraging virtualization, automation, and a various pricing models, allowing businesses to access computing power without maintaining their own infrastructure.
Students will learn the ways the AWS and other cloud systems work with classes like ITN 109 – Internet and Network Foundations, ITN 257 – Cloud Computing: Infrastructure and Services, and others. The course requires 12 credit hours for completion.
