Our Associate of Science Degree in Social Science offers a curriculum that emphasizes cultural and social understanding, critical thinking, written and oral communication, quantitative and scientific reasoning and information literacy to develop skills required in the workplace or for bachelor’s degree level studies in programs such as psychology, economics, political science, history and sociology.

This degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree and pursue a teaching license in pre-kindergarten to grade 3 elementary education, pre-kindergarten to grade 6 elementary education, special education, and middle school or secondary school social sciences.
Students enrolled in this two-year transfer program may also be eligible for Passport Courses or Uniform Certificate of General Studies consideration. Please review the link provided for more information and meet with your advisor for details.
