Care Team

The Care Team at Virginia Peninsula Community College is a dedicated resource focused on supporting the well-being and success of students. This team provides guidance, connections to community resources, and assistance with challenges that may impact academic performance or personal growth. From addressing food or housing insecurity to offering mental health support and access to financial resources, the Care Team ensures that students have the tools and support they need to thrive inside and outside the classroom. By fostering a culture of care and compassion, the team helps students overcome obstacles and achieve their educational and personal goals.

Student Emergency Funds

If you are a student at Virginia Peninsula and need immediate assistance, Virginia Peninsula can offer up to $250 to help meet an emergency. Click here to complete the form. You will need to provide documentation of the need — a bill that describes the charges — and, if you are in good standing, the Foundation can process a check within 48 hours. Checks can be picked up on the Hampton Campus or will be mailed to you to the address on your form.
