This scholarship was established in 2021 in recognition of Dr. Evans' service to the college and our communities over a 35-year period. Dr. Evans began his affiliation during the summer of 1974 as a counseling intern in the Counseling Center of the college. He was hired as a professional counselor in 1975 and served in various roles at the college moving into the role of Associate Vice President of Workforce Services and Cooperative Education at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center.
