This scholarship was established in 2001 in memory of Marge Funk. She was one of VPCC's strongest advocates in both the local community and at the state level. Her service on the State Board for Community Colleges and on the local VPCC Board, indicated her strong support for the Virginia Community College system. Deeply involved with the VPCC community, she represented York County on the VPCC College Board and served as chair of the board. Her support for the college was also evident through her participation in many on-campus activities. Priority consideration will be given to students enrolled in a degree program within the Communications and Humanities Division.
