Continental Automotive Systems, Inc. (formerly Siemens) established two scholarships - one in 1995 and the other in 1998 - to provide assistance to students pursuing a course of study leading to a two- or four-year degree in a technology field applicable to Siemens. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and level of participation in extracurricular activities. Scholarship preference for one of the awards will be given to applicants who have previously participated in middle/high school programs such as CHROME and ATOMS. Scholarship preference for the other award will be given to applicants who are close family members of a current or retired employee of Continental.
Requirements
- Virginia resident;
- First-year student during the year immediately following high school graduation;
- Graduating senior of one of the public or private high schools in the
- VPCC service area;
- Minimum 2.5 GPA;
- Full-time student; and
- Enrolled in one of VPCC's technology field applicable to the work of Continental.
