Non-Profit Organizations
Thomas Nelson offers tuition assistance to students who volunteer with non-profit organizations. Contact Student Activities to join our approved list of community vendors. This can be another good way to enhance your brand and to identify students interested in your line of work and your organization.
Alumni Volunteers
Thomas Nelson students can explore various career fields through informational interviews with alumni volunteers. Through sharing your professional experience, you can offer valuable advice that will help students compete in today's job-market. We work directly with professors to bring students into career services to take part in webinars with successful alumni.
Career Ambassadors
Career Ambassadors are students eager to share their knowledge and expertise with other students. Each ambassador represents a specific field of study at Thomas Nelson. Their responsibilities may include presenting to clubs and organizations, facilitating workshops, representing Thomas Nelson at career fairs, working one-on-one with students on our computers, and providing outreach through technology (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
Externships
The goal of this program is to expose different organizations to our students while introducing your organization to potential interns. We also give you the opportunity to potentially network with faculty and staff. Our hope is to show students opportunities available in particular career fields. The externship program is open to all Thomas Nelson students regardless of major or classification.
Advertise in our Career Guide
One of our most popular resources, the Career Guide is a monthly newsletter distributed electronically to students and faculty. It is filled with counseling, calendars, and careers.
