President Virginia Peninsula Community College
The Board consists of volunteers representing the leadership of the Peninsula community. They are nominated by a standing committee and elected by the existing Board. Members have fiducial and policymaking responsibilities for management and disposal of the assets of the Foundation, in accordance with the bylaws and articles of incorporation of the Foundation.
The Board is legally responsible for the Foundation's monetary holdings and has oversight responsibility; however, they are not operators of the Foundation. The Foundation Board also has the authority to reject gifts that do not meet the goals of the Foundation or mission of the college. The President of Virginia Peninsula Community College is an ex-officio member of the Board. In addition, the local College Board appoints one of its members to serve as liaison to the Foundation Board.
