    - Accounting

  4. Why did you select that major?
    - I enjoy reviewing data and patterns which drew me to accounting and To challenge my problem-solving skills and keep up with technology in the modern workforce.

  5. Why did you choose Virginia Peninsula?
    - I chose VPCC because they have a dual enrollment program that allowed me to take a year of college credits while in high school.

  6. What inspires you in your pursuit of higher education?
    - My parents both completed their bachelors and masters degrees and their success motivates me to continue my higher learning.

  7. How is your experience at Virginia Peninsula helping you as you work towards your goal?
    - Resources available to students like the website and faculty members have helped me plan my future classes and career.

  8. What are your academic and career goals over the next five years?
    - In the next five years I plan to attend Virginia Commonwealth University to receive a bachelors and masters in accounting before starting my career as either an accountant or financial analyst.

  9. Would you recommend Virginia Peninsula to someone else? Why?
    - I recommend VPCC to other people because I honestly feel supported by the faculty to continue my education.

  10. What clubs or activities are you involved with at Virginia Peninsula and in your community?
    - At VPCC I am a member of the student government as a senator and I recently joined the softball team.

  11. What impact does participation in these clubs/organizations have on you particularly as you continue your college education?
    - These organizations encourage me to interact with other VPCC students and they keep me involved with my community.

  12. Are there any Virginia Peninsula faculty members who you want to mention for their extraordinary contribution to your experiences at Virginia Peninsula?
    - Last semester I took precalculus with Mr. Wells at the Historic Triangle campus. He diligently guided every student and genuinely tried to liven up the entire class even though it was an 8 AM class. I normally hate taking math classes but that was the first class I enjoyed since Algebra 1 in middle school.
