Money management tools for students. VPCC has partnered with ECMC to offer an online interactive service that helps students gain knowledge about student loans, car loans, buying or renting a place, credit card debt, budgeting, and investing.

Military OneSource https://www.militaryonesource.mil/
provided by the Department of Defense at no cost to active duty, Guard, and Reserve (regardless of activation status) and their families. It is a virtual extension of installation services.

Military Pathways https://studentveterans.org/ www.helpyourselfhelpothers.org/
free, anonymous mental health and alcohol self-assessments for family members and service personnel in all branches including the National Guard and Reserve. The assessments help create a picture of how an individual is feeling and whether they could benefit from talking to a health professional.

Transition Assistance Program (TAP) https://www.benefits.va.gov/transition/tap.asp
Established to meet the needs of separating service members during their period of transition into civilian life by offering job-search assistance and related services. The law creating TAP established a partnership among the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Transportation and the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), to give employment and training information to armed forces members within 180 days of separation or retirement.

CFPB’s Office of Servicemember Affairs (OSA) works to help military families overcome unique financial challenges by providing educational resources, monitoring complaints, and working with other agencies to solve problems faced by servicemembers.

The Veteran and Military Spouse Talent Engagement Program (VMSTEP) provides employment readiness assistance and outreach to transitioning service members, Veterans, and eligible military spouses while advocating the use of special hiring authorities, employment programs, and Veteran retention strategies to help VA become the employer of choice for Veterans and military spouses.
