College Statistics

The resources on this page provide statistical information on the College’s student achievement metrics. The College has developed a set of core student success metrics that allow the College to track student success relative to its mission. The College sets targets and thresholds for student performance in each of these metrics, measures and evaluates student performance relative to these metrics, and publishes the goals and outcomes.

Total Student Headcount is the total unduplicated number of students who enrolled at the College each year.

Full-time Equivalents (FTES) approximates the number of full-time students served at the College. This is calculated by dividing the total number of credit hours taken by students in a year by 30 (a full-time credit load is 15 hours in the fall and spring semesters).

Fall-to-Fall Retention Rate assigns first-time-in-college, degree or certificate seeking, incoming fall students into a cohort based upon the fall that they begin at the College (previously dual enrolled students and students who took classes in the preceding summer are counted in the fall cohort). The College measures the percentage of those students who are still enrolled or who graduated by the subsequent fall semester. The cohorts are disaggregated to whether the student takes classes full-time or part-time. The College utilizes data reported to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) for this measure.

Six-Year Completion Rate assigns first-time-in-college, degree or certificate seeking, incoming fall students into a cohort based upon the fall that they begin at the College. The College measures the percentage of these students who complete their degree or certificate (graduate) within six years of starting at the College. The College utilizes the rates published by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) for this measure.

Transfer-with-Award Rate assigns first-time-in-college, degree or certificate seeking, incoming fall students into a cohort based upon the fall that they begin at the College. The College measures the percentage of these students who transfer to a 4-year college or university after obtaining their degree or certificate (graduate) within six years of starting at the College. The College utilizes the rates published by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) for this measure.
