Directory Information: Directory information includes information that is not generally considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed.
Education Records: Education records refer to any personally identifiable information that is directly related to a student and maintained by the College or by a party acting on behalf of the College.
Personally Identifiable Information (“PII’): Personally identifiable information includes, but is not limited to, the student's name, address, telephone number, email address, social security number, date of birth, place of birth, and any other information that can be used to identify the student individually.
School Official: A school official is a person employed by the College in an administrative, supervisory, academic, research, or support staff position (including law enforcement unit personnel); a person serving on the board of trustees; or a student serving on an official committee, such as a disciplinary or grievance committee. A school official may include a volunteer or contractor outside of the College who performs an institutional service who is under the direct control of the school with respect to the use and maintenance of PII from educational records.
