Jenna Patel is finding herself at Thomas Nelson Community College and likes what she's discovered. Experiences since enrolling at the College in 2014 have elevated her confidence putting her solidly on track to transfer to William & Mary upon graduating. "I really like the smaller class sizes and being able to be more interactive with my professors. I've been able to get involved with many activities and have gotten more comfortable speaking in public," she said.
Patel wants to pursue a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physician's assistant specializing in psychiatry or family medicine.
Although she's looking forward to the future, Patel's focus today is on balancing a schedule that includes a part-time job in retail and a part-time position as a student advisor in Thomas Nelson's Advising and Transfer Center. Between classes, the Yorktown resident participates in the Student Government Association, International Club and Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
