Victoria Viduya is bound for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Virginia Peninsula Community College is the main route she's taking. "Virginia Peninsula is helping me fulfill my pre-requisites for VCU at a cheaper price. It is a good stepping stone leading up to my future endeavors and the school is helping me build connections," said the nursing major.
The Hampton resident plans to pursue a bachelor's degree at VCU with the goal of becoming a pediatrician.
In the meantime, Viduya will take advantage of all Virginia Peninsula has to offer in academics and camps life. She was recently hired as a student advisor and holds membership in the International Club and Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Viduya is also part of TRiO, a federal program that assists those who are either first-generation college students, low income or have a documented disability.
