The opportunities for networking that Thomas Nelson Community College make possible are helping Keith Williams work toward his goals. "You get to know a lot of different people and that really helps. The programs the College has like TRiO are very supportive. I am a work-study student [in Enrollment Services] and I get to meet many people in the different departments which is also beneficial," he said.
Williams briefly attended a for-profit college after graduating from Hampton High School. He enrolled at Thomas Nelson in 2013 and plans to transfer to Old Dominion University (ODU) upon graduation. The aspiring physical therapist has pursuit of a degree in ODU's exercise science program and participating in its Navy ROTC on his radar.
Captain of the College's soccer team, Williams fully engages in campus life with participation in the Student Government Association, International Club, Ballroom Dance Club and Anime Club among other activities. His schedule also includes a part-time job in retail and serving as a drummer for his church.
